SPORTS MEDICINE WORK-BASED CREDIT

Semester Course (1 unit)

Prerequisite: Successful completion of two Sports Medicine courses plus BLS certification.

Students are able to obtain credit for their volunteer or job-shadowing experiences in the field of sports medicine. This course is a structured, stand-alone course that is taken in a CATE Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP)-coded program. Each work-based learning (credit bearing) course has an assigned CATE course code. The guidelines listed in the CATE Work-Based Learning Implementation Guide must be followed in order to award the Carnegie unit of credit upon successful completion of the course.

Students completing 120 hours of experience will earn 1 credit.
